Another week has gone by, and I am in another country. I will be honest I am kind of happy to go from Greece to the Czech Republic. While I enjoyed my time on the islands, I will be frank, Athens wasn’t my favorite city to visit. I am grateful I had the chance to see some of the historical spots and appreciate the city, but I never got into a vibe with it. I did love my last week in Greece because I got to spend most of it on the island of Skopelos, before heading to Prague.
Mamma Mia Tour
Since my last photo journal Friday I still hadn’t had the chance to go on my Mamma Mia Tour but I was determined to see that church that Meryl famously sings “The Winner Takes It All.” So I ended up staying an extra couple of days in Skopelos Town so that I could take this dang tour. It wasn’t so much a tour but a shuttle that took you to two of the most famous places in the movie. Which were The church of Agios Ioannis Kastri and Kastani beach. And while that’s all the “tour” was, it was worth the 25 euros to see these two amazing places.
Prague
I spent one last day in Athens, but honestly, I went to dinner and packed for my next journey to Prague. So it was pretty uneventful. When I arrived in Prague, I almost immediately had a connection that I didn’t have with Athens. I fell in love with this city in just a few hours I had to walk around.
Prague Castle
I did my first social media vote on what I should do on my first full day in Prague, and you all voted for me to visit Prague Castle. I seriously spent 4 hours wandering around this place. There is so much to see and do, and there will eventually be a whole post about this place. But here are just a few highlights of my day there.
Photo Of The Week
Remember my post about Santorini? Well, the two guys from Isreal met me in Prague! I love solo travel, but it does get lonely. So I’m so excited to spend a couple of days with these two guys who have traveled with me from Greece to Czech Republic. So far it’s been a blast with them and can’t wait to spend the next two days with them.
